“民权运动”一词由来以久。我们所讲的“民权”，指的是所有公民与生俱来的法律面前人人平等，自由从事自己的事业，选择自己信仰的权利。这是对传统民权定义的延伸。因为我们坚信在平等基础的上公民理应享有更多的自由权利。
在当代中国，随着经济的发展，公民对平等，自由，民主的呼声日渐高涨。城乡平等，教育平等，地域平等，司法平等等公平问题日益显现。同时，公民畅所欲言，拥有自由信仰，追求政治民主，享受经济发展的需求也越来越多。
中国的很多问题在现有体制下很难得到解决。“人多力量大”，我们的初衷在于团结全世界关心中国人民民主和发展权利的个人和团体，探索中国未来民权发展之路，监督和促进中国政府改善民主环境，增强公民权利，促进社会平等。
The phase “Civil Movement” has emerged long time ago. By saying “Civil Rights”, we mean the following: equality of all citizens in front of the law shall become a birthright, citizens should have the freedom to choose and succeed in their careers relying on their hard-work, and the right to choose their political and religious believes. These are extensions to the traditional definition of Civil Rights. We believe citizens should and could enjoy more rights and freedom which would be built on top of equality.
In morden China, with the development of economy, Chinese citizens are requesting for more equality, freedom and democracy. The inequality between cities and county side, inequality of education, inequality among different geo regions and justice inequality is more obvious than ever before. At the same time, citizens’ demands for freedom of speech and religion, democracy and more prosperous economy is increasing.
Unfortunately, a lot of these issues could not be addressed properly in China’s current systems. “More people，More power”, our goal is to unite all individuals and organizations around the world who is concerned which democracy process and the development of China, to explore the future of Civil Rights in China. It’s also important for us to oversee the Chinese government, improving Chinese democracy conditions, defend civil rights, and promote social equalities.
